IN ORDER FOR CHANGE TO HAPPEN, A REVOLUTION MUST COME.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Mr. Mullen was crafted between 2008 and 2010, incorporating many new and relevant political elements as the shape of our society began to change faster and further from the founding principles of this country. The film, which began as a single scene shot while filming a PSA, grew from six minutes into over ten in the final version, incorporating a moment-form that is underlined by the dark intensity of Chris Mitchell.
Director/Producer Scott talks about the inspiration for the film:
"The constant amount of lies by politicians and the dumbing down of society through the 'mainstream machine' really angered me to the point where I felt I had the need to say something that had deep meaning and that was important. The film was inspired by many different issues that we face today within our society and government and hopefully people will learn something from the film as well as be entertained by it. We feel a lot of people who see the film will be able to relate because the essence of humanity is within the film."
“I always believe it’s important to make films from your heart and do it for the right reasons like sharing something beautiful with the world rather than for the wrong reasons because you have so many people out there who want to make films for the wrong reasons and those people are lost in a false reality of what really matters. The true filmmaker is one who puts their blood, sweat and tears into a project and shares their baby with the world to either educate or entertain the audience rather than doing it for personal benefit.”
Aside from releasing "Mr. Mullen" in 2010. Scott is currently working on two other film shorts: “The Militia 15″, a statement about mind-control and the rise of a local militia group who wants to fight back against the government with force and “The Forest Hills”, a haunting tale about slavery and racism.
He will be featured in Christopher P. Garetano’s feature length documentary, “Son of Horror Business” with the likes of George A. Romero, Bob Clark and many others in the independent horror community.
Music composer and co-producer Mark has worked with Scott since 2008, first scoring Loss of Hope. He is looking forward to the completion of preproduction and writing of Scott's first feature film, The Three (see Investors page for more details), and is next scoring Scott's The Militia 15. At 22 years old, he has scored award-winning feature films, several short films for Scott, scored and co-produced several commercials for national television through an up-and-coming Chicago entertainment production company.
