“Mr. Mullen” is a film about the crash of the economy and the corruption ensuing from the growing size and control of the American government.
Chris Mitchell, a hard-working man, relays his memoirs in witnessing his entire world destroyed by rampant government corruption. The controversial story examines what happens to a human, trapped within his self-described system, who feels no love, hope, or depth in his life. He targets future Senator Edward D. Mullen, the man he deems most responsible. Finally broken, Chris seeks revenge on Mullen and his family, hoping to wake up others to the realities of society that those in power are willingly oblivious to.
Mr. Mullen began as a rape PSA intended to raise awareness of the dangers of traveling alone at night. However, the project shifted into an anti-hero driven story about a man trapped in by society and the corruption and blindness which surrounds him. The short film, inspired by the work of Bill Hicks, George Romero, and Pink Floyd, appeals to open-minded citizens rather than political parties.
The goal of Mr. Mullen is to increase awareness about what society is slowly eroding into, fueled by corrupt politics and the mainstream media.
